Tersia Groenewald was a LLB student but decide not to pursue with this path. With the planning of her own wedding (2008) to her husband Christo Groenewald she realized she was really good with DIY items. She later started making items for friends and family and decorating parties ect. She got training from the best crafters in South Africa but always refer to her mom, Lizelle Willemstijn another talented crafter and Sandy as her biggest Role models and mentors.
Bee Artsy was a joke between her and a friend as they both love crafting and love revering to it as being artsy. And then Bee Artsy got born in 2011.
At this point Tersia was only teaching the various types of crafts. Later that year she started with her first exhibition at an Old Age Home in Pretoria.
And also got invited to bigger markets like Klip Klap and Provance.
In 2012, Tersia got her first big break when she was published on the FEA ( Female Entrepreneurial Association) and also chosen as at Finnesse Magazine's Voelgoed Expo as one of the top 12 young Entrepreneur to watch.
From there a lot of different shops asked her to supply them with home decor and every year a unique line of Home decor made from wood gets designed.
